A kind Mind, But I Walk Alone
I wonder, many times a day, how the mind works, in its affray, So many thoughts, here and there, not know which, why, or where, How can a person, in an event, think clearly, about what is meant? Do people worry, despair and fret, or pretend all is well, in their mindset? Day by day, sometimes at night, I think about things that give me fright Am I alone, one of a kind, or do other people also have such a mind? I stare at the sky, as one might do, looking for a sign, from "you know who" Where is the justice, for all things done, is there only sadness or is there fun? I walk alone, not afraid to speak, I am not strong but also not weak, So many people, they come and go, some are friends but most I don't know, I see the light, where there is dark, perhaps I'm gifted or just a lark Time is going, I know it well, I have to share as I have much to tell.
About Summer
Oh, Summer, what a lovely season Everybody loves it, for no good reason Sunburn and blisters, sweat and hot wind Like being in Hades for everything sinned Sleepless nights, tossing and turning Too hot for blankets, a single sheet covering Skimpy dressed people barely covering their parts Flies and Mosquitoes annoying like thrown darts The only good thing that I can see about it I don't have to rug up or shiver any bit There isn't much rain that causes the floods The flowers start blooming from their buds
